Federal Government’s Workforce Recruitment Program (WRP)

ARE YOU INTERESTED IN A FULL TIME JOB, SUMMER JOB OR INTERNSHIP WITH THE U.S. FEDERAL GOVERNMENT AND/OR MANY PRIVATE COMPANIES?

Apply for the Federal Government’s Workforce Recruitment Program (WRP).  On-campus phone interviews will take place this fall semester. All students with a disability can apply for this program. The federal government and private companies offer internships, summer jobs and full-time jobs through this program.  Student registration for the program opens on Monday, August 26, 2019.  Student registrations must be complete by Friday, October 11th. Students are encouraged to make an appointment with Mr. Jan Van Dyke to help prepare for the job interview, resume and application process.  Send an email to jpvandyk@indiana.edu   All appointments will take place at the Indiana University, Career Development Center, 625 North Jordan Ave. (10th and Jordan Avenues)

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants for the program must:

  • Have a disability
  • Be a U.S. citizen
  • Be eligible for hiring under the Schedule A Hiring Authority
  • Be a current, full-time, degree-seeking, post-secondary student OR have graduated from such an university within the past year (April 2018 or later)

Both undergraduate and graduate students can apply to the WRP program

Students may also participate if they meet all of the other requirements for the program but are taking a reduced course load due to a disability or if they are taking less than a substantially full-time load in the enrollment period immediately prior to graduation.

REQUIREMENTS:
In order to participate in the WRP program, students must complete an online application and upload a resume and transcript prior to the time of their interview with the WRP recruiter.

JOB INTERVIEW DATES:
All phone interviews will be conducted between October 28, 2019 and November 18, 2019.  (The tentative phone interview date is Monday, November 11th)
