Networking, Career Advice, Graduate School, Jobs & Internships
“Sport is serious business. Get in the game!”
This one-day virtual event will take place Saturday, February 27, 2021 from 12:00 to 2:30 pm. The theme for this year’s conference is “Navigating the sport landscape during the pandemic!” The information provided by the attending sport industry professionals is not learned in class nor from a textbook. Our industry professionals represent high school, college, professional and corporate sports. New this year will be faculty representatives from law schools and graduate sport management programs.
Historically, this event is created to benefit our Indiana University sport management students to get a leg up on the competition. We currently have 40 industry professionals who have committed to showing up to meet you, serve as a networking contact, provide career advice and tell you about internship and job opportunities. Many of the industry professionals are our own IU sport management program alums. You can find more details about the conference and a complete list of this year’s industry participants at our website (www.midwestsportsconference.com).
Landing an internship or job in the sports industry is very competitive and with the pandemic causing a lot of teams and organizations to downsize, it is even more competitive than in the past. Your best chance to beat the pandemic and competition is through networking via events like this one. Registration is only $25 and the deadline is midnight, February 25th. Conference registration can be found at:
