Human Trafficking in Indiana: Connecting to Healthcare

The session will be led by Deb Getz, M.S., Re.D, CYC-P who is a Clinical Associate Professor at the Indiana University School of Public Health. After attending the workshop, students will be able to outline the types of human trafficking that occur in Indiana, outline key red flags that may indicate trafficking is occurring and identify the role you can play in preventing and identifying trafficking in our state.

This workshop is part of the IPE Improving Social Justice series. The primary purpose of the program is to foster the development of interprofessionalism among participants. Each academic year, there will be four workshops. Two in the fall semester and two in the spring. To earn the certification of completion, participants must complete three of four workshops.
