Workforce Recruitment Program (WRP) – Disability Program

The Workforce Recruitment Program (WRP) is a recruitment and referral program that connects federal and private-sector employers nationwide with highly motivated college students and recent graduates with disabilities who are eager to demonstrate their abilities in the workplace through summer or permanent jobs.

Apply for the Federal Government’s Workforce Recruitment Program (WRP).  Phone interviews will take place this fall semester. All undergraduate and graduate students with a disability can apply for this program. All IU Alumni with a disability who graduated on or after April 1, 2020 are eligible to apply for the WRP program. The federal government offers internships, summer jobs and full-time jobs through this program.  Student registration for the program opens on Monday, August 22, 2022.  Student registrations must be complete on or before Wednesday, October 13th. Applicants for the program must:

  • Have a disability
  • Be a U.S. citizen
  • Be eligible for hiring under the Schedule A Hiring Authority
  • Be a current, full-time, degree-seeking, post-secondary student OR have graduated from such an university within the past two years (April 1, 2020 or after)

Both undergraduate and graduate students can apply to the WRP program

Students may also participate if they meet all of the other requirements for the program but are taking a reduced course load due to a disability or if they are taking less than a substantially full-time load in the enrollment period immediately prior to graduation.


In order to participate in the WRP program, students must complete an online application and upload a resume and transcript prior to the time of their interview with the WRP recruiter.



All phone interviews will be conducted by the WRP recruiter between October 24, 2022 and November 16, 2022.
