Fidelis Care’s Product Development and Corporate innovation department is a strategic, highly dynamic, multi-disciplinary team charged with ensuring for effective execution of strategic initiatives, regulatory implementations, and operational excellence projects that span a wide range of cross functional teams at a local health plan level, in coordination with corporate teams. Historically, the team has focused on core pillars of Product Development for Medicaid and Marketplace (commercial) products as well as Customer Experience, and Functional Migration across all products.
An intern in the product development and corporate innovation team is anticipated to be exposed to a wide range of cross functional teams at the health plan and corporate level, including but not limited to IT, Member Services, Contracting, Clinical Services, Quality, Enrollment, and Finance. The product development team is often utilized as internal consultants tasked with bringing all relevant parties together to support the successful implementation of a project.
The internship is composed of an immersive experience in learning the ins and outs of managed care and health insurance functions through the lens of leading a signature project focused on goals of operational excellence, diversified growth, financial discipline, and leadership. Past interns have worked on projects spanning the build and implementation of a risk adjustment program, leading a regulatory policy library creation, leading the marketplace insurance filing process with New York State, and building out predictive analytics dashboards for clinical transformation through a delegated UM vendor initiative.

Bachelor’s degree. Must be enrolled in a graduate program at an accredited university or college in a field related to the hiring department through the internship period. Master’s in Public Health or Health Administration preferred and R or SAS & knowledge of or experience with Excel
