Indiana University welcomes applications for the position of Compliance Intern within the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. This is an opportunity for an individual who has completed his/her/their bachelor’s degree to gain experience working in NCAA compliance. The chosen candidate will report primarily to the Assistant Athletic Director for Compliance, with other supervision from compliance office staff members.
Job duties will include: assisting with recruiting documentation; monitoring of playing and practice seasons; camp and clinic documentation and approval; processing donation requests and assisting full-time staff with various rules education efforts; and various other related duties as assigned.
Position will also include rotation periods during which the individual will work directly with various staff members with oversight of initial eligibility, monitoring, rules education, financial aid and continuing eligibility.
Applicants should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, be reliable, proactive and able to work independently. Also required will be strong computer/technology skills, ability to multitask and a close attention to detail.
Bachelor’s Degree is required, and applicants should be working towards a master’s or law degree. Knowledge of NCAA and Big Ten Conference rules will be considered, as well as collegiate athletics experience.
