The Department of Environmental and Occupational Health seeks a graduate work-study student from Indiana University Bloomington to assist with department activities for the 2024-2025 academic year. This student must be self-motivated, able to work independently, and be able to work in the School of Public Health building on the IU Bloomington campus.
This position pays $21.00 per hour up to 29 hours per week.
To be eligible for work-study, students must have a FAFSA on file.
Description: The primary role of this position is to provide administrative support for the Department of Environmental and Occupational Health.
Responsibilities include coordinating departmental administrative activities, department and laboratory supplies purchasing, managing faculty schedules/calendars, managing and composing correspondence, assisting in departmental course scheduling, coordinating meetings with external visitors, and other duties as requested by supervisor. This position requires attention to detail and excellent multitasking skills.
Specific duties include:
- Assisting in procurement and authorization of purchases and ordering of research and office supplies.
- Coordination of faculty meetings, department seminars, special events, conferences, and workshops.
- Managing list servs for faculty, students, and staff.
