The Department of Kinesiology seeks a graduate work-study student from Indiana University Bloomington to assist with department activities for the 2024-2025 academic year. This student must be self-motivated, able to work independently, and be able to work in the School of Public Health building on the IU Bloomington campus.
This position pays $21.00 per hour up to 29 hours per week.
To be eligible for work-study, students must have a FAFSA on file.
This position will provide support for the Department of Kinesiology in general and Physical Activity Instruction Program (PAIP) specifically across a broad range of projects and tasks essential to our operations.
Tasks & Duties (& Other Duties as Assigned):

- Clerical:
- Prepare department phone listing, email distribution lists
- Answer inquiries and/or refer to other personnel or offices as needed.
- Schedule equipment for faculty and instructors.
- Equipment & Supplies Accountability:
- Inventory and label equipment for PAIP
- Create a database for record-keeping
- Prepare & evaluate fitness equipment for use in activity courses
- Maintain fitness closet space. Evaluate condition of activity equipment. Assemble packets for personal fitness and wellness class.
- Research & Teaching Lab Accountability: Inventory lab equipment for kinesiology major courses and create a database for record keeping.
- Paper Management: Documents disposal; fill paper trays for copy machine and printers.
- Mail: Prepare, collect, and distribute mail.
