Full-time positions: Fort Wayne, Indianapolis, and Jeffersonville
Part-time positions: Fort Wayne, Indianapolis, Jeffersonville, Terre Haute, and Lafayette
Hold a minimum bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. The degree must be in therapeutic recreation or recreational therapy, or related field.
Experience or training in the field of developmental disabilities.
Apply the APIE process and work as a team member within a residential, clinical or community setting.
Hold a valid driver's license and insurance with $100,000/$300,000 minimum coverage.
Work with assigned clients as well as the ability to train and mentor others.
Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist
SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES AND TASKS
Demonstrates skills and knowledge-base in assessments, program planning, implementation of treatment interventions, and evaluation.
Designs, implements and interprets mathematical data, such as graphs and data summaries.
Has basic computer skills, including but not limited to, functions of email, internet, and use of programs including Microsoft Word/Excel.
Completes session notes and progress reports that are legible, professionally written and understandable by all persons involved in the care of the client.
Works cooperatively with the Interdisciplinary team and other MDS employees.
Implements evidence-based practice and adheres to NCTRC service standards of practice.
Demonstrates advocacy skills on behalf of the client.
