Our Bangor location has a great position for a volunteer coordinator wanting to make a positive difference in someone’s life! You would be responsible for the development and coordination of all agency volunteer services. You would provide support services to volunteers via education and support; contribute to community outreach and education efforts, and be a liaison between the agency and other health care organizations. While representing agency volunteers, the coordinator would interact with all levels of the public, with patients and potential patients and volunteers. In addition you would play an integral role in collaborating with other members of the patient care team.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
One year experience working in a healthcare or community based organization with hospice, palliative and/or end-of-life care
Current AHA Heart Saver/AED certification
Competent in MS Office, particularly Word and Excel and evidence of effective communication skills, using verbal, written and telephonic means; ability to make decisions regarding priority of work, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to understand specific instructions
Ability to travel in assigned service area.
