JOB OVERVIEW: Plan, advertise and execute recreational programs for guests and their children. Maintain activities center and assist at pool, marina, beach and spa.
REPORTS TO: Director of Front Office
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Develop indoor and outdoor activities, contests, games, etc., for the enjoyment of the guests and their children.
Greet guests with a friendly and sincere welcome. Use a positive and clear speaking voice, listen to and understand requests, respond with appropriate action and provide accurate information such as outlet hours and local attractions.
Assist with special events at the property. Work with Marketing Manager to promote activities on social media platforms.
Generate revenue through fun, engaging, recreational activities.
Actively participate in the assurance of the safety and fun of all programs
Provides golf cart shuttle transportation throughout the resort for guests
Appropriately organize pool towels, refresh as needed. Deliver used towels to Laundry for cleaning and keep towels stocked.
Maintain cleanliness of pool decks, private beach and surrounding area, keeping deck clear of litter and remove full trash bins. Organize lounge chairs in an orderly fashion
Comply with attendance guidelines and be available to work on a regular basis.
Assist with general resort duties as assigned. Assist boat captain with trips to Shell Island as needed.
With this internship, you will have the opportunity to attend staff management meetings, assist in leading daily standups, be trained and participate in Manager on Duty rotation, attend development workshops, community involvement activities, and be exposed to management-level responsibilities.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Must have the ability to communicate in English. Self-starting personality with an even disposition. Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times. Can communicate well with guests. Must be willing to “pitch-in” and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player. Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to defuse anger, collect accurate information and resolve conflicts. Ability to stand and move throughout front office and continuously perform essential job functions. Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system. Ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, customers and patrons.
This position requires ability to withstand long periods of time outdoors and you must be able to work outside in a variety of weather conditions (rain, wind, heat). Requires ability to lift, push, pull 25+ pounds consistently.24
All interns will become CPR and First Aid certified during internship if currently not certified.

Safety & Security: The safety and security of our guests and associates is of utmost importance to Crescent. Every Crescent associate should adhere to the hotel security policies and procedures, particularly regarding key controls, lifting heavy objects, using chemicals, and effectively reporting safety hazards and safety concerns.
It is mandatory that you are available to work weekends and holidays and flexible shifts.
Interns are responsible for securing their own housing and transportation.
Must be able to work from May 24, 2021 to August 6, 2021.
