Department & Position Summary
Volvo Car USA’s events and experiential initiatives play a significant role in our brand’s re-positioning as a way to conquest new customers, actively engage current customers and energize retailers. Through experiential marketing, our products are experienced first-hand impacting consideration within conquest consumers and loyalty within current owners. Additionally, the flawless execution of retailer events enables us to infuse a sense of excitement towards our brand within retailers while keeping them informed about our corporate objectives and engagements with the Company.
The Events and Partnerships Intern will ideally support with the management and execution of the Volvo Cars Recharge Roadshow; an experiential tour geared to increase awareness and consideration of our Recharge line-up and electric vehicles within current & prospective customers.
The effectiveness of the tour will be based on identifying and managing the right partners for execution. As an Events and Partnerships intern this summer, your main responsibilities will include the assessment and management of potential partners for the tour, as well as exploring interesting ways to engage potential consumers attending our activation along with the partners. Clear identification of partnership activation opportunities will be a critical aspect of your responsibilities.
Additionally, you will coordinate certain logistical aspects of the tour, including: location activation, customer engagement & messaging, and follow-up. Any activation recommendations will need to include clearly defined KPIs by which to measure the effectiveness of the activation, including customer attendance, lead generation, test drives, and other appropriate KPIs.
