The Behavioral Health Skills Counselor provides in-home, family-centered services including counseling, skill development, and crisis intervention in order to build or restore client linkages with the community, schools, and family, with the goal of alleviating and/or eliminating identified client problems. The Counselor will engage in services and activities designed to provide identification of, and intervention to support families and prevent or alleviate the consequences of family dysfunction. A team approach is emphasized with close coordination with other family/client supports and service providers, including schools.
- Bachelor’s degree in a human services or related field is required.
- Two years of full-time experience is a human services field is required.
