Bootcamp to kick start your semester with an edge!

The School of Public Health (SPH) together with the School of Public and Environmental Affairs (SPEA) bring to you the Career Expo Bootcamp. This
Bootcamp has been organized to provide students with the right guidance for the coming Career Expo on September 14 from 3 to 6 pm at the IMU. We know that the search for an internship or job is very important to each one of you, and more so during the start of the academic year.

In addition, it might be the first time for many of you to seek a job and for such a daunting task, getting your application right is crucial! Hence, various stations will be available through the Bootcamp to help students get career ready.

Most importantly, the Bootcamp is a drop in event which requires no appointment.

Here are some of the awesome services which will be offered to students:

  • Meet Bootcamp.logowith experienced career coaches from SPH and SPEA and get their advice on burning questions you have!
  • Creating or improving your LinkedIn profile while also getting a chance to upgrade your photo
  • How to present your resume to potential employers
  • Getting advice on how to build up or create your resume
  • How to make a difference through hundreds of applications
  • Proper dress etiquette

 

And many more!!! Come and find for yourself on September 7 from 3-6 pm at the Indiana Memorial Union Dogwood Room.

Trishnee is a20160813_182615 (3) second year PhD student in the Department of Applied Health Science and her major is Health Behavior. She was born and raised in Mauritius and is currently having the best time pursuing her doctoral studies and working on her research goals in the wonderful B-town. Her hobbies include cooking, knitting, gardening, reading romantic novels, and playing with her pets. Anything related to health highly interests her and she hopes to reach out to others on health-related issues that matter.
