Become an SPH Student Ambassador

Explore your leadership potential. The School of Public Health is seeking Student Ambassadors for the 2017-2018 academic year. Ambassadors act as student representatives at alumni and donor dinners, serve as speakers and emcees at school events, and assist with career services and student recruiting activities. Serving as a Student Ambassador is a great opportunity to improve leadership, networking, and communication skills. Participants are asked to sign up and commit to 4-5 events each semester.

SUMMARY:  Student Ambassadors are the link between the School of Public Health-Bloomington, alumni, donors, employers, faculty, staff, prospective students, and current students. Student Ambassadors assist in alumni and donor events, student recruiting activities, career planning and mentoring opportunities.

Student Ambassadors represent a cross-section of students from all career communities and academic departments of the School. The commitment includes attending 2-3 planning meetings and a variety of school-sponsored events each academic year. Student Ambassadors give alumni, donors, employers, and potential students a view of undergraduate and graduate life within the School and connect current students with valuable school resources.

As front line representatives of the School, Student Ambassadors are committed to excellence. The success of this program depends on a strong foundation built by devoted students.
