’23 Sports, Hospitality & Recreation Career Day Recap

This past Wednesday the School of Public Health hosted their Sports, Hospitality & Recreation Career Day! We had an amazing turnout with employers and students. A huge thank you to all of the employers who attended, everyone who helped, and the students and faculty who participated.

There was a lot of student and employer engagement!

The first event of the day was the Employer Fair in Alumni Hall. More than 250 students attended to network and create connections with more than 25 top notch employers.

Premium employers consisted of White Lodging, American Legion Auxiliary, Cancer Support Community South Central Indiana, and Marine Corps Officers Programs.

In the afternoon, we hosted two industry panels sessions: Careers in Sports Marketing, Sales, and Operations Panel, as well as Careers in Tourism, Hospitality, and Events Panel. Both panels included segments about the speakers’ careers and advice and encouragement for students in their career search. Thank you to the panelists for taking the time and coming out to talk to the students!

Again, thank you to everyone who was involved with this year’s Sports, Hospitality, and Recreation Career Day! It was a great day, and we look forward to continuing to grow this event next year!
