SPH K496 Field Experience in Kinesiology (Rock Steady)

The class is an experiential learning opportunity at Rock Steady Boxing that allows participants to gain professional experience and develop valuable skills beneficial for any student interested in a career in healthcare. SPH-K 496 is open to any IU Bloomington student.

Rock Steady Boxing, a program through IU Health, is looking for student volunteers to assist with a unique class for persons with Parkinson’s disease.  The Rock Steady Boxing class is 1.5 hours on MWF between 10:30am-2:30pm and meets at an off-campus site (location TBD). Two RSB classes will be offered during that window and the classes will begin in mid-late January. Review the IU Health Bloomington RSB Volunteer Job Description for an understanding of expectations and responsibilities. If interested and available, please email the class instructor MJ Bertrand (contact information below), for further instructions on how to get involved and registered. Once you have completed the forms from IU Health, email them to Dr. Rachel Ryder, rabritto@iu.edu, for permission to enroll in SPH K496 Field Experience in Kinesiology for 1 credit hour.
